Mike sadly lost his battle against prostate cancer after a long illness but short stay at St Elizabeth Hospice in July this year. His family would like to pay tribute to his memory and raise funds to enable St Elizabeth Hospice to continue providing the invaluable care to all who need it. Mike was born and brought up in Norfolk and loved the coast and all it had to offer. When Mike married and had his family he ensured many happy memories were made when family holidays were taken involving shrimping, gathering cockles and crabbing on the sands and mud of the Norfolk coast. Once he retired, Mike took up the more relaxed hobby of photography to capture his love of this area and the bird and wildlife it offers. When Mike was not doing this he was quite content enjoying the peace and tranquility of his home and vegetable garden in Suffolk. Mike, a loving husband, Dad, Grandad and Great Grandad will be sadly missed by all his family and friends for his love, loyalty, advice, support and of course his dry sense of humour.
